What REALLY Happens to That Pixar Lamp

You know when you watch Pixar movies that little lamp always hops in and squishes the "i" to death in the intro? What, you thought the other letters would let it get away with it? Here's a hilarious video of what REALLY happened behind the scenes (warning: not for young children). --Ellen

Don't spit on an electric chair, silly

Wow. That was depressing.

Ditto Mecca's comment. Now I feel gloomy. Wasn't there a Pixar Lamp spoof about the lamp finding true love in a lamp shop? I'll have to dig that one out to cleanse my palate.

I do have to wonder how many of you are old enough geeks to remember that the Lamp originally was part of a demo of advanced ray tracing and that the I was in fact a ball the little lamp (watched by a mother lamp) was playing with. The squashing was him accidentally popping his ball and it deflating.
