"The Hangover" will be unrated on Blu-ray and DVD
One of the biggest--and funniest--movies of the year is now available for pre-order: The Hangover will be available on December 15 on Blu-ray and two-disc DVD with both an unrated cut (eight minutes longer) and the R-rated theatrical cut. A DVD with the R-rated cut only will also be available on the 15th, and the Amazon Video On Demand version will arrive on December 22. According to early reports, the Blu-ray disc will have picture-in-picture commentary among other features, and both the Blu-ray and the two-disc DVD will have a Digital Copy of the theatrical cut for a limited time only. If you didn't see it in theaters, you can watch the trailer below. The Hangover stars Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helm, Bradley Cooper, and Justin Bartha, and is directed by Todd Phillips (Old School). What I thought was interesting about the buzz was that the movie seemed targeted at a young crowd, but every week it seemed like more and more, er, "mature" moviegoers were seeing it and really enjoying it. It will be interesting to see what the unrated cut adds to the movie. --David
