Sarah Connor Terminated, but Chuck's Coming Back
After the elation of learning that Better Off Ted, Castle and Dollhouse would be back, comes the crash of hearing that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is done for good. And it's too bad: I felt like the show got really interesting in its second (now final) season (you can watch it now at Amazon Video On Demand). Yes, season two also got weird, what with Sarah's three-dot obsession and a side trip into UFO subculture. Still, I looked forward to every episode, and I'm not the only one. I wanted to see what all the flavors of Terminators would bring to the table (without revealing too much here, I'll just say that there was the hot guardian, the metallic shapeshifter, the brute force and the one reborn). Now it's done. Kudos, particularly, to Lena Headey, who stepped into the iconic title role and brought some real emotional muscle to it.
The good news is that Chuck will be back. Sure, it's only for 13 episodes, but the finale was a kick, literally, and I want to see what the future brings for our hero, from kung-fu to kissy-face with Sarah. Even if they do have to make it work with fewer writers and fewer appearances from key cast members. Nothing like a challenge, I guess. -- Stephanie Reid-Simons, Amazon Video On Demand (Twitter: amazonvideo and Facebook: Amazon Video On Demand)

``The good news is that Chuck will be back. Sure, it's only for 13 episodes ...''
I thought the news was that it had been picked up for 13 episodes, but that doesn't mean there will only be 13 episodes. Isn't it pretty common for shows to bought in smaller chuncks these days? A show is bought for 13 eps and if it does well enough the "back nine" are then bought to bring it up to 22. So I think we could still see 22 eps of Check next season, but we won't know until we get into next season.

If we do something which is pioneering, we will get arrows in the back. But at the end of the day, whether we succeed or not, the journey will be worthwhile.

Hooray! I wasn't ready to say good-bye to Chuck. As much as I am happy to see warmer weather and like summer, I can't wait for the Fall line-up.

Figures. Terminator SCC was the only show on network TV I watched. Seriously.

Figures they would kill Terminator, why keep good programming on the air when you can run out another stupid reality show like American Idol that panders to the lowest common denominator.

Gee, you think they might have forgotten to consider that there'd be a groundswell of interest after the new Terminator movie? Why announce now, on the eve of the movie's release? If it's a blockbuster, isn't that relevant to the decision?

The Sarah Connor decision is a big time bummer. Perhaps if second season had a little less of the "psych" angle and a little more Sister Cameron and Mom "offing" bad guys it might have survived. But I really liked the show--too bad.

SCC sealed it's fate this season with really questionable writing and storylines before finally catching it's stride, too late to salvage itself. Another problem - the title character was not nearly as compelling as the other characters.

Absolutely. I can count the other hours of any television I have watched this year so far with my ten fingers.

The first day of the Chinese New Year, we all got up early. We said “Happy New Year!” or “Good luck this year!” to each other and get money from them. We visited our relatives all day.
