"Caprica" Resurrected (Watch Our Exclusive Clip)

Battlestar Galactica fans last saw the planet Caprica as a post-apocalyptic wasteland overrun with centurions. But 51 years before it was home to a thriving civilization with a dress code and geopolitical challenges similar to our own. We can never really know what life was like in those days… until April 21 when Caprica, a new movie from BSG Executive Producers David Eick and Ron Moore, hits the streets. (Caprica the series will follow in 2010.)

According to Wikipedia, the story is centered around Joseph Adama (father of Bill) played by Esai Morales and a "wealthy technologist" named Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) who have both lost their daughters to an act of terrorism. Graystone approaches grief in an unorthodox way--recreating his daughter in robot form. (An interesting idea in theory, but obviously it doesn't end well.)

Come Saturday, many of us at Armchair Commentary will be walking around with a great big Lee Adama-sized hole in our heart, which we're optimistic that Caprica can help fill. In the meantime, we invite you to preview the movie with the exclusive clip below. --Leah
