Trailer Park: Funny People

The new Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up) movie is coming out this summer - the trailer was just released and I'm so excited to actually want to see a movie starring Adam Sandler again.  It feels like it's been a really long time.  --Kira

Maybe it's the trailer, but this looks likes a more serious movie than we are used to seeing from Apatow. I mean, I realize that it's still funny, but the whole terminal illness thing (even if it does turn out to be cured) definitely makes this a bit darker.

Interestingly this reminded me of the post I read yesterday at Go Into the Story (http://www.gointothestory.com/2009/02/what-would-you-write.html) about another false diagnosis of a fatal illness.

It looks good - surprisingly. And I am totally fine with a little seriousness. But I also feel like i have seen most of the movie now. I am all for the 'less is more' trailer.

Wow. Is it wrong to love Apatow's movies so much? I can't believe he can weave dick jokes into what are essentially chick flicks... it kind of makes me wonder what happened to all the guys I knew in junior high.
