The actor has that vacant look nailed pretty well.

"The actor has that vacant look nailed pretty well."
What, the one on a typical Left-tard's face? I agree.
Flap Jackson on September 06, 2008 at 04:20 PM
I just watched Goonies last night, so I'd say Josh Brolin has come a long way.
Tara on September 06, 2008 at 04:20 PM
This is probably as much of the movie as most people will see.
Chad on September 06, 2008 at 04:21 PM
Wow, for once they have all the best parts of the film in the poster and not in the trailer. Allows me to spend my money on other, more believable fiction.

Lefties know everything. Like, Free Tibet. It's been almost 60 years, but no doubt those bumper stickers are working. Or is it Save Darfur? Or the whales, or grapepickers. What ever.

This movie is poised to make, literally, tens if not hundreds of dollars. It may even out make those classic Iraq movies; which were blockbusters in their own right.

Bomb.
I hope the investors lose millions.

Looks more like Tom Brokaw to me. Whatever happened to respect?
Ian on September 06, 2008 at 04:31 PM
Brolin in those posters is the spitting image of former NFL coach Jim Mora Sr. PLAYOFFS?!

Prediction -- $10M tops ... big money loser for Stone.
Hard, cold fact is that George W. Bush is yesterday's news ... nobody cares at this point. Had this movie come out in 2004 then *maybe* it would have done well. Now? Yawn.
thenakedemperor on September 06, 2008 at 04:33 PM
OK, seen it. Don't want the t-shirt. I'll give my cash to Zuckerman, thanks.
Paul A'Barge on September 06, 2008 at 04:40 PM
Not interested.
I'm a Texan so I've spent many a year observing GWB. I like some things about him and dislike others, but the man is not clueless.
Stone on the other hand ...
TripDave on September 06, 2008 at 04:42 PM
**Yawn.....Who's Olive Stone and why is Frank Caliendo doing a Dish TV print commercial

Ilsa and Rick will always have Paris. The Right will always have Slick. And now the Left will always have Shrub.
The world is indeed complete.

Two predictions:
1. This movie will suck worse than Jar Jar. Indeed, the suckage on this movie will rival "Starship Troopers" once the fans found out that Paul Verhoeven butchered Heinlein and wasn't using dropsuits. Indeed, the suckage quotient on this film might rival the "Starship Troopers" direct-to-DVD sequels, in which Casper van Dien manfully attempts to avoid a lifetime career as a Maitre 'D. That's how bad this movie will suck.
2. That said, Thandie Newton will play a hauntingly dead-on Condi Rice, but I will never see it.

I guess hollywood didn't get the memo that everyone is exhausted by their obsessive hatred of W.
Artteacher on September 06, 2008 at 04:59 PM
I just don't get who his target audience is, frankly.
If he made this film for people who hate GWB...why would they spend money or time watching a film about a man they hate?
If he made this film for people who love GWB...then why would they spend money or time seeing a movie parody done in poor taste about the man they love??
Part of the art of film making is knowing the target audience. I think Stone made this film for himself. And that is a sad reality the studio execs will face soon.
BOMB.

I'm pretty sure The Daily Show, on an average night, is way better than this movie will be. Everyone now knows that Oliver Stone only did the World Trade Center movie the way he did to build an alibi for making this movie.
That said, I can't wait to download this movie and watch it on a lazy Sunday. Hear that Stone? I'm going to download it. No money for you.

More political cocaine for those who need to snort themselves throught another day.
If these fools whould put as much energy into the real world as they do their fantasies .... well I guess not, ignorance is bliss, I guess.

Do we need more evidence from Oliver Stone that the Left thinks in cartoons?
Eric on September 06, 2008 at 05:26 PM
I'll have to break with the crowd and say I think the movie will do just fine, financially. There are a large number of people on the left who assume every slander on GWB must be true. He blew up the twin towers, donchaknow? They'll cheerfully traipse down to the theater to have their worldview validated. Think of it as "90 minutes of hate" therapy.
This is true no matter what Stone puts up on the screen - the actual content of the movie will have absolutely no effect on its box office receipts. So the key in terms of profitability will have been controlling the cost side. We'll know if Stone is an idiot or cynical profiteer when we find out how much he spent.

Oliver Stone: proud member of the Film Actors' Guild.
(from Team America, if you don't get the reference)

Oliver who? Twist?
