TV Resurrection: Drive Revs Again
It's been more than a year since the vaunted debut and near-immediate cancellation of Drive, starring Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Desperate Housewives). And while even fans of the show may not quite remember where things left off (guilty), anyone who enjoys good TV will be pleased to know that FOX is finally offering the final two produced episodes for download, so you can enjoy them ad-free here. The show, produced by Tim Minear (also a Firefly guy, and therefore a veteran of painful cancellations), told the story of a group of very different people taking part (not entirely by choice, in some cases) in a cross-country race.
Drive wasn't perfect, but at its best moments it managed to be mysterious, adrenalized and funny. And it showed a different side of the excellent Melanie Lynskey (aka Rose the stalker from the not-ratings-challenged Two and a Half Men). Too bad Drive didn't get a chance to get up to speed. -- Stephanie Reid-Simons, Unbox TV Freak
P.S. Here's a preview of one of the just-released episodes, "The Extra Mile:"

I loved this show when it first came out (and not just for Nathan, though I'm a fan of Firefly).
When I heard about the last two episodes being available on Amazon, I checked iTunes and discovered that they are also available there!
If Fox wants to issue a DVD box set for this series (after all, they did one for Daybreak), I'll buy it for sure.
