Dexter: A Look Ahead
So what does the future hold for Dexter Morgan, aka America's most charming serial killer? A challenge for the show's writing staff, that's for sure. Here's what Dexter writer Melissa Rosenberg told IGN about season three recently:
"I think we've come up with something that's going to be hopefully as good (as season two). I can't even hope to surpass it, but I can hope to do as well. It's going to be tough. But it's a challenge. ... We're kind of starting over, but it's not starting from scratch," Rosenberg says. "The character of Dexter has evolved, and you want to be careful with that. I mean, his journey is sort of toward becoming human, but the minute he becomes human, the series is over."
Third-season episodes are to premiere on Showtime in October. Meanwhile, the second season of Dexter will be available on DVD on Aug. 19, but you don't have to wait: It just hit Amazon Unbox. Enjoy! -- Stephanie Reid-Simons, Unbox TV Freak

I just discovered "Dexter: Seasson One" on dvd, and just fell in
love with the series. I really enjoy its black humor and the
pure pathos of Dexter himself. This serial killer is more likeable,
in a limited way, than the trash he kills. Michael Hall gives a dry, chilling, and touching performance, all at the same time.
